Content Needed: Standard 54 Playing Cards Deck (Jokers Included)
How to Play: Your goal is to have 4 cards played of each suit in order to win. You start the game by both players drawing 4 cards from the same deck. (placed in the center for easy reach) Player priority is simply decided by playing a card from your hand, and whoever has the higher value wins the choice. The card played is discarded to the discard pile after use. Both players should start the game with 3 cards in hand. After turn order is decided, the turn player draws 1 card, then can commit one of the following actions.
Play a value card from 1 (Ace) to 10 in a suit slot.
Evolve a value card into a face card (Jack, Queen, King, or Ace) by discarding your played value card and putting the face card of the same suit in its place. (Ace cards win any combat but still hold the value of 1.)
Draw an extra card if you do not have the ability to Play or Evolve on your turn.
Declare defense, by selecting one of your defending cards to defeat your opponent's card of the same suit. (This will be explained further in Combat)
Use your Joker card drawn by discarding it and drawing 3 cards. (This is the only way Jokers can be used.)
After any of these actions, your turn ends and the opponent draws 1 card and gets to choose their own action. This cycle repeats until someone gets a Party of 4 with different suits. If you run out of cards in deck, then shuffle the discard pile and use it as the deck until a player wins.
Combat: Combat is where the depth of the game lies. When you Play a card, it is considered an Attacker, and if it has a higher value than your opponent's card of the same suit, then they must discard their card in Play. If there is no other opposing suit, or if the opponent's card has a higher value, then your Attacker is simply played. Attackers become Defenders after being played, and must defend their position in the Party by maintaining their place and having the highest value. Defenders that have a card of opposing suit on their opponents side, then they can spend a turn to Declare and defeat that opposing card to remove it from Play.
